When we don’t understand something that is written or said we  use the idiomatic expression ‘ it sounds Greek to me’

Examples:

  1. The legal jargon used in this document sounds Greek to me, can we get our legal team to clarify?
  2. The IT specialist’s explanationof the software update was Greek to me, I couldn’t follow it at all.
  3. When people talk about wines, it often sounds Greek to me because I lack knowledge in that area.
